My Journey
I started my dance journey when I was seven years old, and I have loved dancing ever since. What began as something fun quickly became a big part of my life. As I entered high school, my passion for dance grew even stronger, not only in Bharatanatyam but also in Bollywood. Both styles have helped me express myself in different ways and have also helped me connect with my culture. Dance has continued to be an important part of who I am and has helped me grow both creatively and personally.
Bollywood
Ever since I got into high school, I have been a member of Dance Without Boundaries, a club that has allowed me to share my passion for dance with diverse audiences. Last summer, I was honored to participate in a meaningful fundraising event, paired with Dance for a Purpose, where we used our movement to support financial literacy in girls. Throughout high school, our group has been incredibly active; we have performed at senior living homes and elementary schools, bringing energy and smiles to different generations. I also perform at Barrington high school’s multicultural shows and other school functions, celebrating our culture and our community.
